* Ingredients:
1/4 c. margarine
1 lb. mushrooms, coarsely chopped
2 large onions, sliced
2 cloves garlic, pressed or minced
1/3 c. chopped parsley
1 t. thyme leaves
5 t. beef-style seasoning
1/3 c. all-purpose flour
6 c. milk
Salt
Condiments: Grated Parmesan cheese, thinly sliced raw mushrooms, thinly sliced
green onions, croutons
* Directions:
In a 5-quart of larger kettle, melt the margarine over medium heat.
Add mushrooms, onions, garlic, parsley, thyme, and beef-style
seasoning. Cook, stirring occasionally until vegetables are very
limp. Stir in flour. Cook over medium heat, stirring often, until
hot and thickened. Add salt to taste. Serve with your choice of
condiments to sprinkle over individual servings.
