DeadBase V - The Complete Guide To Grateful Dead Songlists - John W. Scott,
Mike Dolguskin, and Stu Nixon (Hanover, NH, 1991) Contains the Grateful
Dead's appearances and songlists from 1965 to 1991 plus other important and
interesting information.

Rock Folk - Michael Lydon (Citadel Underground/Carol Publishing Group, 600
Madison Ave, N.Y., NY 10022, (800) 447-2665, 1991) Includes a chapter about
life on the road with the Dead during May, 1969, mostly the shows at
Springer's Inn in Oregon. This chapter is a reprint of a Rolling Stone
magazine article from August 23, 1969. This book is a reprint, with a new
cover and forward, of the book published in 1971.

Fleetwood - My Life And Adventures In Fleetwood Mac - Mick Fleetwood and
Stephen Davis (William Morrow and Co., New York, 1990 ISBN 0-688-06647-X)
This book includes a couple of paragraphs on Fleetwood Mac touring with the
Dead and the Dead being 'busted down on Bourbon Street'.

One More Saturday Night - Sandy Troy (St. Martin's Press, New York, 1991) The
Dead scene, covered in artwork, photos, and interviews. Included are many
illustrations by Stanley Mouse.

Night Cadre - Robert Hunter (Viking, N.Y., 1991) A book of poems, published in
May, 1991.

Panther Dream: A Story Of The African Rainforest - Bob Weir and Wendy Weir
(Hyperion Books for Children, 1991, ISBN 1-56282-076-1) A children's book
about a boy who gets lost in the African rainforest and about life in the
rainforests around the world. The book is written by both and illustrated by
Wendy Weir. It includes a cassette (56282-0) with "Panther Dream" (22:00), a
narration of the book by Bob Weir, and "Panther Dance" (17:30), consisting of
music and effects by Bob Weir (synthesizer and guitar) with Jules Beckman
(bass, drums, and percussion), Paul Giacomantonio (harp, drums), and Rob
Wasserman (six-string electric standup bass). The cassette was recorded with
the Virtual Sound Enhancement System. Published in September, 1991. Bob Weir
went on a book signing tour in the Fall of 1991. Wendy Weir and Bob Weir were
interviewed about the book on WXRK-FM (92.3 MHz in NYCity) on Friday, November
22, 1991.

Sunshine Daydreams: A Grateful Dead Journal - Herb Greene (Chronicle Books,
275 Fifth Ave., San Francisco, CA 94103, (415) 777-7240, (800) 722-6657) A
daybook with Herb Greene's photos of the Dead, ticket stubs, and backstage
area passes. Published in October, 1991.

Conversations With The Dead - David Gans (Citadel Underground, 1991) A book
of interviews with the Grateful Dead, including Augustus Stanley Owlsey III
(from January, 1991), and photos by Herb Greene. Published in October, 1991.
Many of the interviews in this book are full-length versions of the interviews
excerpted in Gans' earlier book "Playing In The Band".

Planet Drum: A Celebration Of Percussion And Instruments - Mickey Hart and
Fredric Lieberman, with D. Atesh Sonneborn (Harper Collins, N.Y., 1991) This
book features some 350 photographs and illustrations and tells the story of
percussion and rhythm. It is accompanied by a musical release on Rykodisc
("Planet Drum" - Rykodisc RCD 10206). Published in October, 1991.

The Dead (Volume II Of A Trilogy) - Hank Harrison (The Archive Press, 334
State Street, Suite 536, Los Altos, CA 94022, 1991, ISBN 0-918501-13-X) A
second part to Harrison's trilogy. Includes a number of photographs. It has
a flying eyeball on the cover. Published in 1991.

Grateful Dead Comix - Number 1 (Kitchen Sink Press, No. 2 Swamp Rd.,
Princeton, WI 54968, (414) 295-6922, orders: (800) 365-7465) A comic book
chronicling the adventures of the band and presenting interpretations of their
lyrics. Published quarterly, starting in 1991. Issue Number 1 includes:
cover by Dean Armstrong; inside back cover by Moebius; logo by Leslie Cabarga;
"Dire Wolf" (interpreted and colored by Tim Truman); "Terrapin Station"
(interpreted by Dan Steffan, colored by Randall Berndt); "One More Saturday
Night" (interpreted by Fred Carlson, colored by Randall Berndt); "Casey Jones"
(interpreted by Nina Paley, colored by Randall Berndt).

Grateful Dead Comix - Number 2 (Kitchen Sink Press, No. 2 Swamp Rd.,
