THE SKENAR - represents the leading edge of 21st Century healing technologies.  The name Skenar (also called Scenar) derives from the description: Self-Controlled Energo-Neuro-Adaptive Regulation.  There are two Skenar Models:  The professional model 97.4 that can be operated in manual and automated mode, and the new Acu Scen that  is fully automated to apply just the proper healing signals based upon feedback with the nervous system.

The Skenar is an electronic healing device invented by Russian Scientists in the 1980's for use in space, where cosmonauts would have a means of treating themselves in orbit, without the need to take drugs.  Over 6,000 doctors are now using the Skenar as an integral part of their medical practice. Using a simple 9 volt battery the Skenar works by stimulating the brain with a constantly varying signal that causes it to instruct the nervous system to generate Neuropeptides, the key biochemicals needed by your body to heal itself.  Neuropeptides may be considered as our body's own internal pharmacy.

In many cases of bodily imbalance or injury, the brain tends to become habituated to a disease or injury rather than aggressively generating the correct neuropeptides and electrical signals needed to effect a complete recovery.  The communication system between the brain and the affected body part can break down and this gradually becomes accepted by the brain as being "Normal".  Because of its unique, computer controlled biofeedback capabilities and ability to stimulate the Neuropeptide-generating C - Fibers of the nervous system, the Skenar constantly achieves results that amaze people all over the world.

How it Works

Skenar is very different from other electrotherapy instruments such as TENS or Electroacupuncture.  Tens units are mainly used to provide relief from pain.  Electroacupuncture instruments have a broader range of application, but they lack any bio-feedback capability.  Only the Skenar combines energy measuring functions along with real-time feedback and constant adjustment to deliver just the correct type and amount of energy to the body.

The Skenar employs a highly sophisticated computer software program that automatically Senses and Measures the electrical activity of the body (skin impedance) and then delivers a Measured Dose of complex electrical waveforms and frequencies directly to the skin in order to correct any imbalances.  These pulses contain numerous random features to prevent the body from adapting to the stimulation. The Skenar may also be used in manual operator mode with complete control over all of the output parameters.

These electrical impulses mimic the electrical discharges of the nervous system and instruct the brain and body to generate specific neuropeptides, the key chemicals used by the body to heal itself.  Proper communication between the brain and the affected part is restored and rapid healing may then be possible. As described by one of the developers, the Skenar evolves a new signal pattern for the disordered tissues, the machine literally entering into an information dialogue with the body. New frequencies and energy patterns are established, which in turn become fresh input signals, to be further modified, and so on. This output-equals new input is much the way that fractals are generated. On the premise that disease signals are generally fixed and unnatural, anything, which breaks up the existing order, has the capability of restoring the normal equilibrium.

The picture above shows the front view of the Skenar with its control buttons and LCD display window.  The reverse side of the unit contains a special built-in electrode that senses and measures the body's skin impedance when the device is held against the skin. These electrical values are displayed in the unit's LCD Display window.  Then, based upon the needs of the body, the Skenar automatically delivers a measured dosage of corrective electrical signals into the Acupuncture point or other targeted area (in automatic mode).  All the while, the instrument is receiving constant feedback from the Brain and Nervous System and is actually adjusting itself to meet the needs of the body in correcting itself.  This may be seen as the body's own innate intelligence communicating with the Skenar in order to re-establish the proper communication pathways and to correct any energetic imbalances.

Skenar Kit Includes:

  • Instrument with built-in  electrode applicator
  • Carrying - Storage pouch
  • Instructions
Optional Accessory Probes  for Skenar 97.4 or Acuscen:  $95.00 each.
  • Full size electrode - sensor for use on face or other body areas
  • Pen style applicator for Acupuncture point stimulation
  • Pin-type electrode applicator for scalp stimulation
Individual probes may be purchased for $95.00 each .  Each remote probe has a connector cable that is approximately 2 feet in length and connects into the Skenar.  Use of the probes enables the operator to hold the Skenar in one hand, while applying the probe onto the patient.

Skenar Settings

Skenar Model 97.4 can be operated in either of two modes.  These are referred to as Diag. 1 and Diag. 0 The Skenar model called
Acu Scen  operates only in the fully automated mode.

Diag. 1 - is the automatic mode that includes a sophisticated bio-feedback loop which allows the Skenar to assess the needs and reactions of the body to the Skenar signals.  While the nature of the signals can still be changed manually (Modulation, Intensity, Pulse Delay and Frequency), the instrument itself decides how it will apply this signal and for how long.  The Skenar will then advise you by LCD visual indicators and by an Audio Tone when it considers the various stimulation parameters completed.

Diag. 0 - this setting allows the operator to choose all of the output settings for the energetic balancing, including the length of the stimulation.  This does not engage the automatic diagnostic feedback capability of Diag.-1.

Output Specifications and Adjustments

  • Modulation - ratio of the length of signal to the length of pause between signals measured in seconds.  Adjustment range: 1:1, 2:1, 3:1, 4:1, 5:1 or FM (frequency modulation) setting where Skenar cycles up and down the frequency range.
  • Dmpf - Damping - this setting alters the shape of the waveform.  Select from 4 waveform settings plus - Variable -  On the variable setting, Skenar continuously cycles through the waveforms in order to randomize the signal.
  • Intensity -  intensity refers to the number of impulses in each pulse bundle.  In the waveform, it denotes the number of peaks in the wave.  Adjustments are from:  Intensity -1 up to Intensity - 8.
  • Pulse Delay or Pulse Width - pulse delay is the interval between pulses within a batch.  It is an arbitrary scale that is adjustable from 10 to 80, with 10 being the shortest pulse delay.
  • Frequency - this refers to the number of complete oscillations of the signal or waveform per second. Adjustable from: 15.3 hertz up to 351 hz. in 2 percent increments, with brief stops at 29.7 hz., 90.3 hz. 121 hz. and 180 hz

The basic Skenar signal is a bipolar pulse consisting of a negative square-wave followed by a positive saw-tooth, starting and finishing at zero and lasting for a few microseconds.  The Illustrations below depict some of the waveform adjustments that may be made in Automated Mode or in Operator Manual Mode on the Skenar.
