1000i Amish Friendship Bread

From: JERRY PELIKAN <C05705GP@WUVMD.Wustl.Edu>

The recipe that I got with my Amish Friendship bread goes like this:

No metal spoons or bowls! Do not refrigerate!

Day 1: do nothing
Day 2,3,4: stir
Day 5: Add: 1 cup flour
             1 cup sugar
             1 cup milk
        Stir
Day 6,7,8,9: stir
Day 10: Add: 1 cup flour
             1 cup sugar
             1 cup milk
        Stir

Pour one cup of batter into each of 2 containers and give to two freinds.

To remaining batter, add:

      2/3 cup oil 1/2 t baking soda
      3 eggs 1 1/2 t baking powder
      1 cup sugar 1 t cinnamon
      2 cups flour 1/2 t salt
                                  1 t vanilla

Add two cups of fruit or nuts. Pour into two greased and floured
loaf pans. Bake 45 - 50 minutes at 350 degrees.
Cool 10 minutes & remove.
