I am interested in purchasing a BOSCH 1611EVS router. Does anyone
have any experience with it, or any BOSCH products, in general?

I have owned the above router for aprox. 8 months. It is definitely a
production quality router. I have used it moderatly (home shop) not in
a production environment.
PLUSES: has LOTS of power...
everything works smoothly.
fairly quiet.
MINUSES:
this sucker is BIG. It is not a router to be used for a lot of
free-hand on small projects.
I am using it for furniture building and mostly use it under a heavy table,
or on a horizontal morticing table I made. I have yet to use any big panel-
raising bits, so the variable speed has not gotten a lot of exercise.
Like most of the Bosh products that I know (I also have the 1582 jig saw) it
is high in both Quality and price. They really seem to be life-time tools.
I can recommend this router, but it may be over-kill depending on your
application.
