If at the end of month you are unsure where all of your paycheck was spent, and wondering why nothing was left, it's time to start monitoring your spending.
Buy a logbook, or do it on your computer -- every day log all the expenses that you've incurred, big and small. Keep the receipts from your purchases and write down the details of the purchase, as soon as you buy something. So later you will have a better idea of what the money was spent on.
At the end of the month go over those records and you will know exactly where did your money go, so the next month you can do better. Take a look at things that you could spend less money on, or eliminate them completely.
