Installation Procedure
----------------------
1. Installation precautions
---------------------------
Four (4) 6-32UNC screws, with 3/16" (4.78mm) maximum screw length,
are required for installation. Use caution when installing the
mounting screws to ensure no contact is made with drive's printed
circuit board.
2. In the CMOS (System BIOS) setup, select drive type as follows
----------------------------------------------------------------
Select a hard drive type that is equal to or less than the formatted
capacity of the drive.
NOTE
Drive parameters cannot exceed the specified capacity.
- Use user defined type or manually enter the drive parameters.
3. Disk partion options
-----------------------
Use DOS "FDISK" to create the partition table.
Utility software such as Disk Manager or Speedstor may be used.
4. High Level Format Options
----------------------------
If DOS "FDISK" is used to create the partitions, then use DOS
"FORMAT" to do the high level format.
If Disk Manager is used to create the partitions, then use Disk
Manager to do the high level format.
If Speedstor is used to create partitions, then use Speedstor to do
the high level format.
Always low-level formatted at the factory!
