Rainbow Warriors - Greenpeace (Geffen GHS 24236) A two-record compilation of
recordings by popular Western musicians. It includes the Dead's "Throwing
Stones" (4:24). Released in April, 1989. This was released on various labels
worldwide, including Melodiya in the USSR.

Rainbow Warriors - Greenpeace (Geffen 9 24236-2) Released on two CDs.

Double Dose - Kingfish (Relix RRCD 2035) A CD-only release of the "Alive
In '85" (Relix RRCD 2016) and "Kingfish" (Relix RRCD 2005) albums on one
CD. The songs from "Kingfish" have been reversed with respect to the sides
they were on on the LP. An uncredited instrumental track appears between the
two albums. Released in February, 1989.

Double Dose - Keith and Donna Godchaux (Relix RRCD 2020) A CD-only release of
the "Playing In The Heart Of Gold Band" and "The Heart Of Gold Band" albums on
one CD. Released in 1989.

Peace On Earth - Country Joe McDonald (Ragababy RAG 1019 - Ragbaby Records,
Box 193316, S.F., CA 94119) Mickey Hart and Bob Weir play percussion on two
tracks of this 1989 release. Also released on CD as Line 26048 and as One
Way 31369.

Folkways: The Original Vision - var. (Folkways/Smithsonian ) Transfer from
original masters to CD done by Mickey Hart and team. Released in 1990. The
notes include: "Special thanks to Mickey Hart of the Grateful Dead..." and
list "Mickey Hart, technical director" of the digital remastering.

Fresh Tracks In Real Time - Tom Constanten (Tom Constanten, P.O. Box 20195,
Oakland, CA 94620) Includes "Dark Star", "Cold Rain And Snow", "Hesitation
Blues", and others. Released in July, 1989 on cassette.

Music To Be Born By - Mickey Hart (Rykodisc RCD 20112) Taro Hart's heartbeat,
via fetal heart monitor, in his mother's, Mary, womb, recorded onto 16 track,
overdubbed with flute, and Mickey Hart on percussion and Bobby Vega on bass.
Produced by Mickey Hart. Released in April, 1989.

Freedom Chants From The Roof Of The World - Gyuto Monks Tibetan Tantric Choir
(Rykodisc RCD 20113, August, 1989) Produced by Mickey Hart. Recorded
("Yamantaka" (27:44) and "Mahakala" (26:58)) at George Lucas's Skywalker Ranch
in January, 1989. Also included is "#2 For Gaia" (9:17), recorded live at the
Cathedral of St. John the Divine, New York City, on December 3, 1988, with
Hart, Phillip Glass, and Kitaro.

Juggling Suns - Solar Circus (Relix RRCD 2037) Includes a version of "St.
Stephen"/"The Eleven" (10:12). Released in September, 1989.

The Electric Kool-Aid Acid Test - var. (United Fan Club Society, Goteborg,
Sweden, Stellar Music Special, Series 1, Show 1, SMS001-1) a record (in all
likelihood a bootleg) from the San Francisco State College "Acid Test" of
October 1 and 2, 1966. It is mostly Ken Babbs (?) talking in the college
radio station's studio, interspersed with a few seconds of what could be
Garcia on guitar, as well as parts of the Garcia, Kesey, et al interviews on
NBC's "Tomorrow" show of May 7, 1981. Released in March, 1988.

Built To Last - Grateful Dead (Arista AL-8575) This turned out to be the
Grateful Dead's final studio album. Released on Halloween, 1989. The album
was released with a sticker on the front: "The Dead stack the deck...", and a
"Built To Last" merchandise order form. The album version does not include
Brent Mydland's "We Can Run". "Victim Or The Crime" was written by Bob Weir
and actor Gerrit Graham; the melody is a paraphrasing of a section of a work
by Bela Bartok. Included is Brent Mydland's "I Will Take You Home", written
for his daughters Jennifer and Jessica. Some of the album was recorded at
George Lucas's Skywalker Ranch studios. "Believe It Or Not", "Gentlemen,
Start Your Engines", and "Sh*t Happens" were recorded as demos for this album,
but were not released.

Built To Last - Grateful Dead (Arista AC-8575) The cassette version includes
Brent Mydland's "We Can Run". Released on October 31, 1989.

Built To Last - Grateful Dead (Arista ARCD-8575) The CD version includes Brent
Mydland's "We Can Run". Released on All Hallow's Eve, 1989.

Built To Last - Grateful Dead (Thomsun ) A cassette version released in Saudi
Arabia.

Dead In A Deck - Grateful Dead (Arista ARCD-8575-DL) A special edition of
"Built To Last" on CD. Released on October 31, 1989. This comes in blue
printed packaging which looks like a box of playing cards. The Jester is
printed on the CD. It includes photos, a deck of GD playing cards, and an
order form for "Built To Last" merchandise. The band photos were taken on
August 6, 1989 at the California Expo, Sacramento, California show.

Dead In A Deck - Grateful Dead (Arista AC-8575-DL) A special edition of
"Built To Last" on cassette. Released on October 31, 1989. This comes in
red printed packaging which looks like a box of playing cards. It includes
photos, a deck of GD playing cards, and an order form for "Built To Last"
merchandise. The band pictures were taken on August 6, 1989 at the California
Expo, Sacramento, California show.

Transverse City - Warren Zevon (Virgin 91068) Garcia plays on "Transverse
City" and "They Moved The Moon". Released in October, 1989.
