Go To Heaven - Grateful Dead (Arista AL 9508) Released on April 28, 1980.
Also released as ALB6-8322. On "Easy To Love You", the word "bluebird" was
changed to "raven", at the insistence of Clive Davis, Arista Records
president, that this would make the song more 'Grateful Dead sounding'.
This was the first album with Brent Mydland, and included his "Easy To Love
You" and "Far From Me". The Dead rehearsed a Robert Hunter song called
"What'll You Raise" for this album; a portion circulates among tape traders.

Go To Heaven - Grateful Dead (Arista ARCD 9508) Released on CD in 1986.

Jack O' Roses - Robert Hunter (Dark Star DSLP 8001) An April, 1980 UK
release. This album includes: "Box Of Rain", "Reuben And Cherise" (with
an extra verse), "Friend Of The Devil" (with an extra verse), and a complete
"Terrapin" suite, with the "Ivory Wheels" > "Rosewood Track" section and
lyrics for the "Terrapin Transit" section. The album was recorded in London.

Jack O' Roses - Robert Hunter (Relix RRLP 2001) Reissued on Relix Records in
1984. Originally released on Dark Star DSLP 8001.

Down On The Farm - Little Feat (WB 3345) Keith Godchaux co-wrote "Six Feet
Of Snow" on this November, 1979 release.

Texican Badman - Peter Rowan (Appaloosa 010) Jerry Garcia and Bill Kreutzman
play on "Sweet Melinda" (3:59), "While The Ocean Roars" (3:53), "Awake My
Love" (3:31), and "On The Blue Horizon" (5:54), which were recorded in
April, 1974 at the Record Plant in Sausalito, California. Released in 1980
in Italy.

Texican Badman - Peter Rowan (Appaloosa 010) Released on CD (36:02 long).

Livin' The Life - Chris and Lorin Rowan (Appaloosa AP 011) Jerry Garcia plays
pedal steel guitar and Bill Kreutzman plays drums on this Italian release of
the "Rowan Brothers" (Columbia KC 31297) record.

King Biscuit Flower Hour - ( ) A Nassau Coliseum show (probably the May 16,
1980 show) was broadcast on two records with cue sheets for release in June,
1980.

King Biscuit Flower Hour - ( ) A three record retrospective of various
70's shows for release in October, 1980.

Earth News Radio - sponsored by Agree Shampoo and Budweiser (EN 11/10/80)
One record with two Xeroxed cue sheets aired the week of Nov. 10, 1980:
Jerry Garcia and Bob Weir interviewed about origins of the band's name,
Jerry Garcia's early infatuation with the accordion, loss of his finger,
and the Acid Tests.

Rock And Roll Valentine - (Westwood One) The Grateful Dead appear on part
of this eighteen record ABC Radio special from 1981: "The Grateful Dead
Story: Fifteen Years Of The Dead" broadcast December 20, 1981.

Off The Record - With Mary Turner (Westwood One) Two records and cue sheet
for broadcast on August 3, 1981.

Source Special - (NBC Source 81-15) A three record radio special for
February 6, 1981.

RSMP Guest DJ's - ( ) One side has band members introducing other artist's
songs. Released in 1982.

Rock And Roll Never Forgets - A Classic Rock Weekend (ABC/DIR Broadcasting
Corp., New York City, 1981) Day Two, Side 14 of this Memorial Day weekend
broadcast contains live versions of "Playing In The Band" and "Uncle John's
Band".

The Waltz Project - var. (Nonesuch Digital D-79011) Tom Constanten composed
"Dejavalse", played by pianist John Cobb. Released in 1981.

Reckoning - Grateful Dead (Arista A2L 8604) This two record live acoustic
album was recorded between September 25 and October 14, 1980 at the Warfield
Theater, San Francisco, and October 22 and 31, 1980 at Radio City Music Hall,
New York. Out of print. Released on March 25, 1981, possibly even on April
1, 1981. Part of the recording set-up for this album included three clusters
of three mics, placed above the stage and 25 and 40 feet from the stage. Many
of the songs were edited down from their original concert times. "Dire Wolf"
could be from October 11, 1980.

For The Faithful - Grateful Dead (Arista/Pair ARPDL2-1053) This is the 1984
reissue of "Reckoning". It has a black and white "Reckoning" cover on the
back and the photo on the front.

For The Faithful - Grateful Dead (Arista/Pair 1053) This CD release from 1986
does not include "Oh Babe, It Ain't No Lie". The CD was supposedly released
without the band's approval.

Reckoning - Grateful Dead (Arista/Pair ARPDL2-1053) The July, 1988 reissue of
"Reckoning", on vinyl, with the original "Reckoning" color front cover.

Reckoning - Grateful Dead (Arista/Pair ARCD 1053) This 1986 CD release is an
abridged version of the two record release and does not include "Oh Babe, It
Ain't No Lie".

Reckoning - Grateful Dead (Arista ARCD 1053) A properly remastered re-release
on CD format. Released on November 20, 1990.
