--T-lymphocytes ( asubset of the lymphocyte family) that have been inactivated by mercury. The lymphocyte is the primary white blood cell involved in immune defense reactions in the body. It's chief function is to manufacture immunoglobulins, one of the major fighters in the immune system. When these cells are attacked, the count oes down to below 2,000 per cubic millimeter ( the normal range 2.200 to 2,400 )

--DNA analysis(a measurement of the content of genetic material within a cell) that reveals mercury-induced malignancies. Within the lymphocyte is DNA, which contains your personal genetic code. Mercury can cause two DNA chains to combine, coubling the inumber of chromosomes present (from forty-eight to ninety-six) By definition, this is malignancy.

Other factors that indicate special scrutiny may be warranted are:

--The presence of eroot canal-treated teeth

--Telltale combinations of symptoms. For instance, I might see a patient with multiple sclerosis and a low body temperature or someone with chronic fatigue syndrome and brainfog and short-term memory loss

--The presence of both amalgam and gold

--Magnitude of polarity of electrical current. Electricity indicates the speed of chemical reactions on the surface of a filling. The higher the magnitude, the greater the speed. Also, negative electric current is worse than positive. It fosters faster conversion of mercury into methyl-mercury.

Hal Huggins work is very old these days, and there are other parameters to look for as well, the previous was ok, but is only Hal's view of things. More specific indicators are deficient metabolites following an enzyme that has thiols (sh-groups ) in it, that are inhibited with mercury. Typically, a mercury poisoned person often has in addition to Hal's ideas :

Glycose metabolism: * low 2.3 dpg * High puryvate * High lactate

Citric acid cycle: * low Alfaketoglutaric acid * sometimes elevated Succinate

Neurological : * low neurotransmitters needing GSH and Folate in their metabolism ( 5-hiaa, Homovanillic acid, vanilly mandelate)

Liver/detox: *often very low Glutathione and 5-oxoproline *often too low sulfate/creatinine ratio

* often high cysteine/sulfate ratio * often low GGT-levels ( 15, sometimes even below 10 ... )

* low GSH-peroxidase activity * often elevated porphyrins

* often low free blood SH-groups, B12, Folate, zinc, manganese, chromium, sulfur, boron, molybdenum

Immunological : * Low neutrophils ( neutropenia ), deficient neutrophil function, due to this often chronic pseudomonas, staph, fungal infections, often appear after filling removal..

One should look for trend of lowering neutrophils and elevating lymphs.

- elevated lymphs + deficient lymphocyte function

- autoimmune antibodies, especially positive antimyelin antibody

- very low NKHT-3 cells

- Highly elevated CD-8 ( supressor cells, in range of 40-60 % )

- Highly autoreactive CD-4's ( helper cells ) CD26/TA-1 up to 80 % when normal is below 10. Intolerance to EDTA-chelation can shoot CD26 up big time, and trigger autoimmunity. Have proof of that. Before and after EDTA.

- especially important are ELEVATED GAmma-GLobulin levels, typically depending on the subclass, from 20-300 % elevations can happen before/after chelation/removal due to additional exposure. This may be of interest to MS-patients. Mercury also binds to albumin cysteines.

- also, triggered C3 and C4 complements are thyocal, as mercury cleaves the thiols in the complements, typical is to have very very low C3 and sometime C4, and for these people Echinacea may just worsen their already over-(auto)triggered complement chain that helps the autoreactive CD4's to tear the body down due to autoimmunities ... Sometimes things are more fascinating/complex than some people will admit they need to go. I respect Hal H, but I feel that his old book is way behind and he needs to look deeper as well ...

General :

- Also, alcohol intolerance, gout/joint pains and sulfur intolerance/allergies are typical to mercury depleted detox systems due to overload of the poison.

- GastoIntestinal track problems like acid problems, small intestine irritation, maldigestion and malabsorption, gluten intolerance etc. are also triggered by excess mercury and are easily explained through disturbed flora and narrowed veins/ damaged microvilli in the digestive track, as well as metal burden of pancreas, gall and liver in addition to the GI-track in general.

- additionally, there are much more, like certain adrenal hormone levels are very good poisoning indicators as being very sensitive to mercury, and almost always reacting vertain way due to mitochondrial thiol blockages and their need in adrenal steroid metabolism.

- same stands for the thiol-containing thyroid hormones and so many other little proteins and metabolites in human biochemistry. For example, low oxyhemoglobin can be explained trough many interactions of mercury with different thiols and disulfides in the body

- Also, additionally. lowered nerve-conduction through conductivity testing could be checked, as well as often times people have the neural trigger levels lowered, with very little needed to trigger a tremor or something equivalent.

I got plenty more I would look at as well as a mercury caused problem through understanding the thiol-mecury interactions a little at least, but I am tired and will not write more. Of course, it also takes pretty deep look to all what can be caused due to mercury. Things like Chronic Granulomatous Disease is a candidate of mercury poisoning and I have solid basis for such. Also, Glygocen storage diseases are very often mercury related *propably* ( found in so many with elevated levels of mercury from dental fillings ) found with 24-hour steroid panel, and confirmed with glucose/certain injected medicals. Standard medical stuff, but not often performed as there is little knowledge that mercury is very important cause in glucose metabolism problems. A dream, but the current rate of pollution from industries and automobiles leaves me skeptical as of yet. Moving to remote areas with less pollution can be a choice for many severely poisoned. I recommend warmly.
