I saw this sander at a Porter-Cable demonstration recently.
It is not a disk sander--at least not a normal one. Instead
of rotating, the disk has a random orbital motion. Porter-Cable
claims that it removes material about as fast as a belt sander
but produces a finish as smooth as a finishing sander. In the
demo I saw, this appears to be true. It sells for about $140.
