I have the Porter cable Tiger Saw. It has (oh, I forget,) about a 6 amp
motor. I looked at the Milwaulkee line, the Bosch (panther), and the Porter
Cable (Tiger Saw). It seemed to me that the Bosch, and the Porter Cable
both had an edge on the Milwaulkee, a the time due to being about 5 dollars
less (at least where I was shopping.) Then I went to a place where they had
the TigerSaw, and the Panther, and I ran them both a little on some scrap in
back, and I just "liked" the Porter Cable best. Both of these are the top
of the line variable speed models, and I believe that both will let you
reverse the blade.
I don't think that you would complain about any of the three of them, but
I used to have a Makita like this, and it now seems wimpy by comparison.
My personal rating goes like:
Porter Cable Tiger Saw #1 Bosch Panther #2 Milwaulkee #3
