102 any experience with Ryobi random orbit sander

I have been considering getting a Porter Cable random orbit
sander, but today I saw a Ryobi unit for about half
the price. Does anyone on the net have any experience
with this tool?

This a a variable speed sander (up to 11,000 rpm) with a very
comfortable handle design and an integral dust pickup
for about $80 at a Shopsmith store I visited.

The Ryobi random orbit sander uses 4 1/2 " discs held on
by velcro-like material. This makes the sanding discs
expensive - $3.50 for 5. How long do they last. Are they available
cheaper elsewhere or can you make your own?

How durable is the sander? Porter Cable tools tend to
be pretty rugged, but you do pay for their quality.

How does its sanding speed and finish comparably to the 5"
P.C. unit?
