I have a Taiwanese jointer that I got from Woodworkers Supply. It is nearly
identical to the Grizzly 6" model. The salesman told me that that were all
made in the same factories. The differences being that different importers
accept better or poorer tolerances.
I am quite pleased with my jointer. I looked at the Delta 6" motorized but
for comparable cost I decided to go with the clone since it has cast iron
table and fence (this beast is heavy) and is belt driven. If you are going
to have to move it around alot then you'll probably want to outfit it with
some sort of mobile base. But if mobility were a primary concern I'd
consider the Ryobi 6" jointer before the Delta. A relative of mine has one
and he loves it.
