Really? What you should write is, "Dear friends, I posted a request for Reiki but have seen no replies yet."
Remember that this is Usenet. People might send Reiki without sending a reply post, or people might not read your request for several days due to propagation delays, or they might never see it. A lack of any reply is not indicative of us being rude. This is the prime reason I include a K for Kindness in PLANK. You'll catch more flies with honey than you will with vinegar. (Why you'd want to be catching flies in the first place is anyone's guess.)
Also, we are not under any obligation to send Reiki simply because you post a request. I do not know of anyone here who exists solely to read and post in AHR, we have lives outside of Usenet. You may feel desperate, but that is no reason to be rude because you don't see any posted replies. Capiche?
