5.08 The Internet Ratings Service (Friends)

The Internet Ratings Services is now defunct. I am leaving this entry in the
FAQ in case it reappears, which I hope it does.

The internet ratings service is available via email and via the World Wide
Web. Subscriptions are available only to residents of the United States with
email access. Each day, subscribers are sent schedules of the previous
night's network selections which they send back indicating which shows they
watched or taped with the intention of watching. Each week, you will receive
a listing of the results of the previous week's ratings. The ratings results
are non-scientific and are basically conducted for two reasons: because
Nielson won't allow ratings results to be posted on the internet and becaue
it's fun!

To subscribe to this service, write to Jol E. Padgett at
jpadgett@cais.cais.com with the body of the message reading "SUBSCRIBE
RATINGS" You can also write to Jol to receive a FAQ and any other
information you might need regarding the service.

To view the World Wide Web version, point your favorite Web broswer at
