Description

This article is from the Skydiving FAQ, by Barry Brumitt with numerous contributions by others.

4. The British Parachute Association

[This is the major parachuting authority in the UK. It is now
recognised by the British Civilian Aviation Authority (CAA) as an
Approved Organisation (28 Mar 1996), and is deputised to handle
certain matters on behalf the CAA. I am not certain whether this
extends to the regulation of non-BPA parachuting centres or whether
they are still answerable directly to the CAA.]
