4.05 What is QIC80, QIC40?

QIC stands for Quarter-Inch Cartridge. QIC80 is the standard for 80MB tapes, QIC40 for 40MB tapes. Both standard allows for extended length cassettes of 300ft which gives 120MB and 60MB respectively.
