Daisy chain Connection
----------------------
To a drive which meets ATA standard proposal, daisy chain connection
works whether the PB-4'is connected as a master or a slave.
To a drive which does not meet ATA standard proposal, daisy chain
connection works only under the following conditions:
Master: M2617T/M2618T
Switch setting: The drive is required to be set to the Active mode.

Slave: M2611/2/3/4/6 or M2622/3/4

Slave present mode in the M2611/2/3/4/6 or Active
mode in the M2622/3/4

Key features
------------
Combining the lastest head, disk, mechanical and electronics
technology, Fujitsu has developed two new families of half-height,
3,5-inch hard drives - the M2617 and M2618.
The drives, with an embedded SCSI or PC-AT controller, provide a
storage capacity of up to 210 megabytes and an average positioning
time of 16 milliseconds.
All disk enclosures are completely sealed and include one or two
disks, four Whitney heads, a rotary voice coil motor (VCM), and a
DC spindle motor.
High performance
----------------
The M2617 and the M2618 have fast positioning times - 7.0 milli-
seconds track-to-track, 16 milliseconds average, and 31 milliseconds
maximum, including settling time. The M2617S and the M2618S models
have a large, 64 kilobyte data buffer which helps improve the total
data transfer rate: 5.00 MB/s synchronous mode and 3.00 MB/s
asynchronous mode. The M2617T and the M2618T models also have a 64
kilobyte data buffer and a high data transfer rate: 3.15 megawords
per second, or equivalent to 6.30 MB/s.
Embedded SCSI or PC-AT controller
---------------------------------
The M2617S and the M2618S each have an embedded SCSI controller for
quick and easy installation. The controller's commands are compatible
with the SCSI CCS (Common Command Set for Direct Access Device). The
M2617T and the M2618T have an embedded PC-AT controller, which
supports basic PC-AT commands, as well as additional commands.
Compact and half-height
-----------------------
The compact, one-inch high M2617 and M2618 feature a large storage
capacity of 105 MB and 210 MB, respectively.
Reliable and maintenance-free
-----------------------------
The completely sealed disk enclosure contains a breathing filter and
a recirculation filter to provide a contamination-free environment.
Whitney heads eliminate moving parts for head loading and unloading.
All models use LSI drive logic, and the head IC prevent read errors
caused by external electrical noise. With these features, the drive's
mean time between failures (MTBF) is more than 150,000 power-on
hours, and their mean time to repair (MTTR) is less than 30 minutes.
Internationally compatible -------------------------- The M2617 and M2618 disk drives use low-voltage DC supplies of +12V and +5V, permitting international applications and freedom from the effects of power line fluctuations.

Tagged queues and Fujitsu M 26xx harddisks
------------------------------------------
Fujitsu Harddisks of the M26XX series do not support the SCSI-II
feature tagged queues. You should disable this feature in the
initialize disks menue of the GDTSetup program. An inquiry command
shows, that the harddisk supports tagged queues (this is why you can
enable it in the GDTSetup) but this is not true as stated by Fujitsu
Germany.
