all Yamaha Clavinova piano sounds are sampled off of Yamaha
Concert grand pianos. The exterior is simulated dark rosewood
grain finish with gold pedals. The "CLP" series emphasizes the
acoustic piano capabilities. The "CVP" series adds symphonic
orchestration capabilities (digital ensemble). Yamaha also has "
Yamaha Silent Series" which is an acoustic piano (both upright and
grand) with sound-silencing mechanism and digital piano sound
(through headphones only) capabilities added.
