Many of the newsgroups in the rec.music and alt.music hierarchies
discuss songwriting and songwriters. Before
rec.music.makers.songwriting was created, discussion of songwriting
took place in rec.music.compose, rec.music.country.western,
rec.music.folk, rec.music.makers, rec.music.misc, alt.music.filk, and
many others.
