Use:

Tazarotene or Tazorac is a topical treatment for psoriasis. It may also be used for more serious cases of acne.

How It Works:

Tazarotene or Tazorac is a retinoid, that is a vitamin A analog, which helps normalize the rate at which epithelial cell differentiate or divide

Side Effects:

Tazarotene or Tazorac should only be applied to the affected skin areas as it can produce skin irritation if applied otherwise. It should also not be applied to broken or infected skin as it may be absorbed.

Cautions for People:

Tazarotene or Tazorac is intended for people with mild to moderate cases of psoriasis. Severe psoriasis may not respond.
Tazarotene or Tazorac is to be applied once daily, and often people will use it alternatively or in combination with other topical or oral therapies for psoriasis.
