* Ingredients:

2 large, ripe avocados (2 cups mashed)

2 tablespoons finely chopped tomato

1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice

2 teaspoons finely chopped onion

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/8 teaspoon garlic powder, or to taste

* Directions:

Mash avocados until smooth. Stir in remaining ingredients. Keep
refrigerated in an airtight container. Pour a thin layer of lemon
juice over the surface to prevent browning. Pour off or stir in
when ready to serve. Use within 24 hours. Yields 2 cups or 8
servings.

Variation: For Guacamole Dressing, add tomato or vegetable juice until desired
consistency is obtained.
