2 c Noodles, uncooked
3/4 c Water
1 1/2 t Salt
1 lb Lean ground beef
1/2 c Finely chopped onion
6 oz Can tomato paste
3/4 c Water
1/2 t Salt
1/4 t Pepper
1/2 t Garlic salt
3/4 c Milk
8 oz Cream cheese
1/2 c Grated Parmesan cheese
1/2 c Chopped green pepper
1. In a deep, 2-quart, heat-resistant, non-metallic casserole place noodles, the 3/4 cup of water and the 1 1/2 teaspoons salt. Heat, covered, in Microwave Oven 8 minutes or until noodles are tender. Drain noodles and set aside.
2. Place ground beef into a deep, heat-resistant, non-metallic 2-quart casserole and heat, uncovered, in Microwave Oven 5 minutes or until meat is no longer red. Stir occasionally to break up meat particles.
3. Add onions and heat, uncovered, an additional 3 minutes or until onion is tender. Drain excess fat.
4. Add tomato paste, the 3/4 cup water, the 1/2 teaspoon salt, the pepper and the garlic salt to the beef-onion mixture. Stir to combine. Heat, covered, 3 1/2 minutes or until mixture bubbles.
5. Add cooked noodles, milk, cream cheese, Parmesan cheese and chopped green pepper. Heat, covered, an additional 5 minutes or until mixture is heated through.
