I use a 50K btu torpedo-style heater which works great. I keep the immediate
vicinity of the heater clear of debris and would probably shut it off if I was
generating a cloud of dust (e.g. from a thickness sander), but otherwise it
works great. Oh, I also cut it off when using volatile finishing compounds. I
think these fan-equiped, torpedo-style heaters are the way to go. Typical
upright kerosene heaters, which rely solely on convection/radiation don't cut
it (also too few btu).
