My third floor walk up attick workshop (18x30) is getting cold too. If
I was in a garage, I would seriously consider a wood stove if you're
in a situation (wood supply, city code, etc...) where you can use one.
A benefit would be that you could use wood from your scrap (unquestionably
scrap stuff only) barrel.
To all of us with no heat in our shops...be careful about loose clothing
and don't wear gloves when operating power tools. My day lost two fingers
wearing gloves while feeding (fresh, wet) treated lumber through his
radial arm that was turned horizontal and setup with a straight shaper head.
His gloves got too close and took off his pinky and first two joints of the
ring finger.
