146 Scroll Saw Question

A question (or two or three) about scroll saws:
I am considering buying the heavy duty scroll saw from Dremel.
Not the $89 lightweight one for modeling, but the larger model.
Price Club has a good price on it, and it has a few nice bells
and whistles.
One thing I'm not sure about. I've heard that there are scroll
saws that when the blade breaks, the top arm quits (or slows)
moving, so the broken blade doesn't puncture your work repeatedly.
The Dremel apparently didn't have this feature.
Did I hear right? Is this a feature that some saws have? Is
this puncturing really a problem, i.e., does it happen often?
Which is more important, this feature, or some others, such as
a blower, or multiple speeds?
