I assume you mean the BT-3000? I've got one -- I've posted previously about
some problems. I'm building a log home (have been for over a year now), and
I really abused this saw - ripping logs, etc., & finally burned out the
motor. I was surprised to find that there is no thermal protection like on
my Sears (boo, hiss) radial arm saw. Anyway, Ryobi replaced the saw free
except for my cost to ship the dead one to them. I've been more careful
with it since -- got a Griz band saw to rip my logs with. I'm really quite
happy with the Ryobi saw. I might have rather had a heavier saw, but for
my current project, portability is a major issue & this saw is great for that.
I like the sliding table - I like the rip fence & how handy it is to add
accessories to it (alum. extrusion with slots that take bolt heads or tee
nut type inserts). I like the router ble that comes with it (bought the
router mounting kit & Ryobi router & it all works great together). I can't
speak as to long term sturdiness, or how happy I'll be once I can get back
to my beginning furniture building, but for now I'm happy with the saw.
Adjustments for square, etc., are pretty easy to make. It's probably over-
priced compared to the heavy Deltas, & others, but it does what I need it
for & it seems like driving a Caddy compared to my old Sears 8" saw. Just my
2 cents worth, since you asked...
