Thanks to all who responded about the raised panel bit speed
for routers. I spoke to BOSCH and FREUD both of whom said
that there was no need to reduce the bit speed for their
1/2 raised panel bits, but a few people have had better
quality cuts with slower speeds. I chose to buy the Ryobi
RE600 variable speed 3hp router, but I have one question.
In a few articles I have seen people complain about the
split collet as apposed to the fingered collet. Am I going
to have problems with my bits moving with heavier cuts? Is
there a replacement fingered collet available for the Ryobi
router?
