I own the Hitachi C8FB and have been extremely pleased with it. Over
the past year it has held up to a lot of bouncing around and use. When
I was in the market for mine the Makita was just introduced. I felt the
dual tubular slide supports would hold up better than the single Makita
system. Since I do a lot of molding and fine woodworking projects I
purchased a Freud LU91 blade which has givin me excellent smooth splinter
free results. I purchased both the saw and blade from Woodworker's Supply
( 800-645-9292). I have noticed that Sear's has introduced a saw which
looks identical to the C8FB. I wouldn't be surprised if it was the same
saw repackaged for Sears. You may want to check it out. I have noticed
the Sears model sells for less than I have seen the C8FB advertised for.
