I would like to clarify an earlier posting. The Hitachi machine I
mentioned is neither a jointer nor a planer, but a combination; it's
sort of two machines in one: a 6" jointer and a 12" (I think)
thickness planer powered by a common motor. I have not actually seen
it, but I have talked to someone who has used it and he was impressed.
I have also seen ads for it in Fine Woodworking. Any coments regarding
this beast would be appreciated.
