The Biscuit joiner Norm uses is an Elu. Its a brand of tools imported
by Black and Decker. Be forewarned this thing is expensive, about
$340. So why choose it over other, cheaper brands? It is not only a
biscuit jointer but a spliner. In addition to cutting semicircular
slots for biscuits it can cut continuous slots for spline material
made of the same stuff as the biscuits. Very handy for certain kinds of
joints.
