3i.6 How effective is the chicken pox vaccine?
Clinical trials, which span a decade and involved more than 11,000
persons in the United States, indicate that it is 70-90 percent
effective in preventing chickenpox. Studies also show that almost all
of the vaccinated patients who got chickenpox had a milder form of the
disease.
