Topics related to software configuration management are discussed
in other newsgroups as well. One such group is:

Try the CM Working Group mailing list which covers both hardware
and software CM. Send email to majordomo@quality.org and in the

This is not a 3 or 4 day "introduction". CMII training usually
incorporates about multiple 3-days courses for a CM certification.
There is a strong hardware focus.
* GfKM - Gesellschaft für KonfigurationsManagement at

Configuration Management (see above) in German language in all
German speaking countries. They also offer individual workshops
and special basic CM classes.

advanced knowledge of SCM in the form of a thesis paper.

TTC offers Effective Software Configuration Management and
Advanced Configuration Management classes. They also offer
hardware CM classes.
