There are two groups of employees out there: Those who actively look for a new job and those who don't. The former go to the big job sites, and that's where most of the job ads are posted. What most HR people don't realize is that there is a huge number of employees out there, who aren't actively looking for a new job, but would love to jump ships if one were to offer them a better job.

I get constant emails from HR folks asking me if I can help them fill in a vacancy. While I know a lot of tech people, I can't always help.
