The morning splendour of sounds and sights,
is breathtaking, it is sheer delight.
The songbirds are chirping in the trees,
singing merrily with so much ease.
They seem to sing, "Wake up sleepy head,
it's time for you to get out of bed.
Look out your window at the sunrise,
it's a beautiful day with clear blue skies."
As a butterfly lands up in the tree,
it floats along with the gentle breeze.
The orange blossoms where it sits to rest,
brushes its wings with a gentle caress.
Its delicate wings of many hues,
look like stained glass of green, orange and blue.
And the peaceful, gentleness that it brings,
is a wonderful start to a day of spring.
Morning splendour makes you feel alive,
with a vibrancy pulsing deep inside.
Such simple beauty can make you gasp,
and it's important, for this is what lasts.
