Reiki can work at a distance and it is not uncommon for posts to appear in this newsgroup which request Reiki to be sent. It is the practice of many in AHR that in order to send they need to know the name and location (generally meaning city and country) of a person before sending Reiki. Also, it is considered ethical to either request Reiki only for yourself or to have the permission of the person you are asking for. Obviously, there are few who object to parents asking for their children, people asking for their pets, or requests for people who are unable to themselves respond (such as when comatose). Also, a number of people in AHR maintain healing lists. Rather than include such details here, I would recommend posting to the group to find out particulars.
The acronym PLANK may help you in your requests:
Permission
Location
Ailment
Name
Kindness
