5.1.1. Club Profiles Canada


Organization: University of Waterloo Table Tennis Club
Waterloo, Ontario, Canada

Membership: For UW students, but welcome all TT enthusiasts
including UW staffs, alumni, and local community
members who have access (paid) for the UW PAC
facilities.

Fee: $5.00 / Term (renew membership at the beginning of
each term)

Terms: Fall, Winter, Summer (apporx. 4 months each)

Day & Time: Sunday 1:30 - 5:00 P.M.
Wednesday 7:30 - 10:30 P.M.
Friday 7:00 - 9:30 P.M.

Equipments: 3 tournament (Butterfly) tables plus 5 good
quality practice tables. All tables are available
during club meet.

Events: Club tournament once a year in the fall term.

Further Info: Usually about 30 - 40 people show up at the
beginning of the school term, but diminish as
exams and finals approach. However, the club has
approx. 10 regulars, who would show up regardless
of weather conditions. Frank, who has been the
coordinator of the club for the past 10 years, is
72 years old , and he still beats players with
1800 (CAN) rating on a good day.
