1.7 The Ultimate Homebrew Bike Light: Postscript

I've been using my lights for about a month now and I'm quite pleased
with the results. I can ride at night with the same confidence that I ride
in daylight. The lights are rugged and the charging system works well. I
would make the following changes to the original design:

1- Use two spot lights ( ESX ) instead of a spot and a flood ( BAB ).
The flood light's output covers too wide of an area and is not as effective
in the forward direction as I would prefer.

2- The straps on the Nashbar bag are not sufficient to hold the bag in
place if you are riding on rugged surfaces. I had to add an additional
nylon strap around the bag and the stem to help secure it.
