20. How do I get a publishing deal? (Songwriting)
This is also a difficult question to answer for the same reasons as

The best way to go about it is after you have gained some experience
and an idea of the marketplace, to approach some publishers with your
material. (It helps to have several songs, so they get a general idea
of what you can do.) If the publisher thinks he or she can find homes
for your material, they'll sign you to a publishing deal.
