6.5) Are there any conversion/manipulation utilities available? (Bagpipe)

Yes. Chris Walshaw's "abc2mtex" package is freely available and in wide
use. This package is used to convert tunes written in "abc" format to TeX
format for elegant printing. Available by anonymous ftp from the Ceolas
archive (address in "Internet Resources", below).
