This article is from the The Osbourne FAQ, by Mike L. with numerous contributions by others.
A Los Angeles-based producer, Gary Binkow, sued Sharon and Ozzy
claiming they stole his idea for "The Osbournes." Binkow says he met
repeatedly with the couple and executives from Miramax TV in 1999-2000
to discuss "a real-life docu-sitcom" about the aging rocker and his
family.
Editor:
This section of the biography may not be popular with many Ozzy fans.
However as the author of this lengthy bio I would like to ask you
something rhetorical. Can you really expect a rock musician to live a
full life and not commit any acts that could be deemed as stupid? Can
you truly expect your "idol" to not now and again use some technique
to gain more money from you, the fans?
This is not a pro-Ozzy or anti-Ozzy biography. It is a truthful bio
and you'll have to accept that.
