2.8-> Who is Polly Klaas? Why is the film "Little Women" dedicated to her? (Winona Ryder)
Technically, these are not "Frequently Asked Questions", but they are
important ones (to me, at least).
Polly Klaas was a little girl from Winona's home town of Petaluma who
was kidnapped. Moved by the situation upon hearing of it, Winona
offered a reward for Polly's safe return, but tragically, Polly was
found murdered. Subsequently, The Polly Klaas Foundation, a
non-profit organization dedicated to the search for missing children
everywhere, was formed by Polly's father, Marc Klaas, and Bill Rhodes,
a prominent figure in the Petaluma community. Winona is on the
Foundation's Board of Directors. The book "Little Women" was Polly's
favorite; Winona used her clout to get the film made and dedicated to
Polly.Enjoy!
