4-34 What does it mean to say "without pin"?

This refers to the pin that attaches the head to the stem. Sometimes
"with pin" is used to indicate that the hinge pin is visible from the
outside. Similarly, "without pin" indicates that the hinge pin is not
visible from the outside (but it's still there).
