Use:

Nystatin powder or Candistatin is an antifungal agent ideal for fungal infections such as diaper rash or stoma fungal infections where touching or rubbing the affected area is difficult and/or painful.

How It Works:

Nystatin causes the fungal cell wall to not form properly. Without the cell wall, the fungi dies. Nystatin has no effect on human cell walls.

Side Effects:

Nystatin may produce irritation at the side of application, however the effect is minor and not noticeable given the skin irritation of the skin infection itself.

Cautions for People:

People should be ensure that it is a fungal infection for which they are using the Nystatin powder or Candistatin.
