Benefits
- no need to wear glasses
- no spectacle scotoma - ie "blind-spot" due to frame edge
- overcome problems of spectacle magnification, especially when large
difference in spectacle prescription between the two eyes.
Risks
- corneal odema
- corneal ulcers
- contact lens induced conjunctivitis
