20 What is UDP?

UDP is a network protocol that is much more lenient than TCP (which is
what netrek originally used). If you don't have a local server, using
a UDP client on a UDP server could reduce your lag considerably. All
mainstream clients now support UDP. Many thanks to Andy McFadden,
Netrek Guru, for implementing the UDP stuff.
