I own a B&D palm sander. When I first got it, I was very happy with it.
However, after a few months use, it stopped working. B&D fixed it.
It stopped again. B&D fixed it (and included a note with the repair
saying that if it happens again, hit it with a rubber mallet in such-
and-such place). It worked for awhile then stopped again. I tried the
"mallet treatment" but to no avail.

I now own the Makita. I find its not as comfortable as the B&D but it
starts everytime ( a very nice feature! ).
