I have an RBI Halk model 220 20 inch. This saw cost about $700.00 . I
had a Sears befor this saw. The Sears was noisey a lot of vibration
hard to keep the wood on the table. The RBI saw does not have
vibration problems and is a good scroll saw. The reason I bought it
was that a fellow woodworker in my area is a dis for RBI and I tried
it out in his shop befor I bought it, verry glad I did. I wish that I
could try more products befor I buy them, but this is hard to do in
this part of the country. Good luck with your selection.

I am doing some scrool work from the book SCROLL SAW FRETWORK PATTERS
by Patrick Spielman and James Reidle some verry nice patterns in the
book.

PS sharp turns are not a problem with the correct blade.
