SKIL as in the trademark is spelled with only one L.
The Ryobi R500 and R501 and nice heavy duty deep plunge routers ( believe
it's 2.5 HP, but I can't recall exactly). The difference between them is
that the R500 has a toggle switch on the motor housing where the R501 has
bigger grips that actually has the switch as a pushbutton on the handles.
It's much more convenient there for most things but I feel I'd have to
kludge something up if I ever used it in a routing table sort of application
as there seems to be know way to lock it "on."
